Taken! Tandy CoCo model 1, rev D mobo, 4k ram, AV out

Recommended Posts

This is a tandy coco 1 as seen in this thread

http://atariage.com/forums/topic/276725-tandy-garage-sale-haul/

in the pic's its narsty, but LiqMat did a great job cleaning it up. but there were some issues

mainly the RF modulator is shot, and even though it has some homebrew stickers saying 64K ram and extended basic, its been reverted back to its original configuration

as sent to me it has 4K ram, and basic 1.0 ... it once had a AV mod but since removed. its got signs of oldschool modding, a chip that was used in the in the ram upgrade had a broken pin so I replaced it (with a part I bought at radio shack like 25 years ago funny enough) and since the RF mod was not worth me fiddling with I reinstalled a composite + audio mod .... why not it already had holes drilled in the case

its paint aint great, there was some screw bosses broken and rattling around the case (which I solvent welded back into place), its missing a few case screws, the RF output doesn't work at all, the keyboard ranges from fine to bouncy to have to thunk a key to get it to respond, but most of that will sort itself out with use or cleaning ... video output starts off crisp, but once it heats up gets bleedy around the edges (think that is fairly typical with early model machines anyway, hince the monochrome mod's)

Its a early rev coco 1 that has sat in a garage for 30 something years, I got it for free, put a little time, effort, and parts into it, and now its a project for someone else

Free + postage (paypal only) or totally free for local pickup, keep in mind this thing weighs about as much as a modern pc :) so expect least 25 bucks to ship it from TN to the west coast for example
