Jelly Mario is a short, free browser game in which you guide triple jumper and professional princess misplacer Mario Mario through a jellified version of his earliest levels. Hitting blocks no longer rewards you with powerful drugs, but often causes the blocks to slide away from you like confused ice cubes. And jumping on an enemy will no longer knock him cleanly off the screen, but cause both turtle and plumber to explode into microbial shards, leaving a small crater in the brickwork below. The whole thing is a terrible, beautiful distortion of childhood memories.

After three tries to get past the Koopa Troopa and Goomba, I did a glorious spinning vault over the two of them and got my head stuck in the very first question block. I now dangle helplessly over 1-1.

 

This feels like a metaphor for something.

Tied it on my moms windows 10 desktop. Only edge works. But super slow. Cannot eat the mushroom.

i played it on Win 10/Chrome, what a weird version, lol. my wife was watching it and laughing.

Playing on my fiance's w7 laptop (core2duo) with chrome browser. Music is slow and I cannot move. Eat mushroom to start. How do I eat it? Pressing up causes a jump sound effect but nothing happens.

 

EDIT: Did not work on my fiance's w7 laptop with firefox, chrome, or ie, but works on my w7 desktop in firefox. Still hella slow and I have an 8 core 4.0Ghz AMD cpu...

I have the same issue with Chrome -- I get music/sound effects, but I cannot get past the title screen.

 

It does not even load with Firefox or Internet Explorer.

It loaded fine in Firefox on my w7-64 desktop (AMD Bulldozer). It did not work on my fiance's w7-32 laptop (Core-2-duo). I haven't tested on my Snow Leopard Minimac with last years Firefox build, but I doubt it will work.

 

You can play he first stage of Jelly entirely, and half of the second stage before the game demo abruptly ends. Bummer. I kinda wanted to see how they handle the warp zone.

You gotta lay Mario on his side and jump sideways to crawl under the bricks. Wait for the Goombas to pass first.

Pity the game conveniently ends right before you hit the elevators. Jellyvators would have been fun lol...
