Big_Mo #1 Posted June 2, 2003 Hey all, I went through all my old ST discs recently as I backed up everything to my PC, and while doing so I noticed that my old Cyber Sculpt and Cyber Control discs had gone bad. I want to access some old 3D models and animations I created "back in the day". I was wondering if anyone knew a site that had old ST software downloads where I might find these programs, so that I might be able to restore them and get at my old work. Thanks in advance. ftovar #2 Posted June 5, 2003 Cyberstudio. Is that the one that saves in SEQ format? I have my original software for my ST. I would have to check around for it. I had 3.0 if I recall. I keep all my stuff well sealed so hopefully it works. I will check over the weekend and see if I have it. It's been a long time since I used my ST but recently picked up a Falcon 030 for collection. I will let you know if I do have it.

Big_Mo #5 Posted June 7, 2003 After I wrote the message that started this topic I slapped myself on the forehead. Stupid me, I am a friend of Tom Hudson, who wrote the programs. I emailed Tom and got them right from the source. Thanks for the help, tho!

apl1970 #7 Posted January 26, 2007 I realise this is a few years later but I was wondering if I could get hold of Cyber studio and also control? I had a play around with these MANY years ago and thought they were really easy to use and I`d like to get into it again. After I wrote the message that started this topic I slapped myself on the forehead. Stupid me, I am a friend of Tom Hudson, who wrote the programs. I emailed Tom and got them right from the source. Gunstar #10 Posted January 28, 2007 (edited) I have the complete Cyberstudio package, I found it by asking just as you have in this thread. You will not find for download off the net, at least I didn't, and I searched long and hard. I payed about $100 for the complete Cyberstudio collection. But you WANT the originals with the documentation which is a must-have if you ever want to learn it all anyway. Cybercontrol is the program that takes your CAD 3D or Cybersculpt 3D models and allows you to animate/move them. The complete set includes CAD 3D modeler (generally 2.0 if you buy the entire set, as the set wasn't sold as a complete set until 2.0 was released), Cybersculpt, which is a more advanced CAD modeler than CAD 3D, and replaces it for all intents and purposes, but requires and advanced user of CAD 3D 2.0 to take full advantage, basically, learn and gain experience with CAD, then move up to Cybersculpt. Cybercontrol, the motion control language (yes, to be serious about this package, you WILL HAVE TO LEARN SOME programming). Cyberpaint, which can be used as a stand-alone paint program like Degas or Neochrome, and those others can also be used instead, but Cyberpaint does have some Cyber-specific features the others don't. Cybertexture to texture-map everything, with predefined textures, created textures, and artwork from Cyberpaint/Degas/Neochrome. And finally, Spectrum 512 paint program which was also a stand-alone product, was also included in the CyberStudio package as your final resource when all else is said and done, to give your 3D movie 512 colors (which looks damn good, even buy today's standards still). Then there were some other add-on programs that did not come with the CyberStudio package like a Video titler and 3D font programs among others, to be used with Cyberstudio. In the early 90's there was an even more advanced series, that worked much better and were intended for the TT and Falcon and Mega STE, but worked on all ST's with enough memory called the PHASE-4 solid object motion control and animation system that required CAD 3D or CyberSculpt models. This included Rosetta-3D Translator/viewer which translates CAD models from other formats(computers) into CAD 3D format. Chronos key frame animator. Prism Paint and Prism Renderer (photographic quality). Later, Phoenix object renderer became the main edition to this Cyberstudio-upgrade package, they all are only needed really to take advantage of the TT and Falcon increased resolutions and color, and aren't as useful for regular ST machines. But stuff like Chronos is very usable on ST's, as it's a replacement for Cybercontrol to allow you to do complicated animation WITHOUT PROGRAMMING. All PHASE-4 programs still require CAD 3D or Cybersculpt models. As for the STEREOTEK 3D GLASSES, they are RARE. Only ever sold out of "The Catalog" which was in Antic/STart magazines. I Had it and sold it when I needed money, it awsome, and yes, Cyberstudio series and DEGAS are both compatible with it among other programs, CAD 3D models in STEREO are incredible. But it's not something someone can tell you where to find it. You will have to search high and low and on E-bay , etc., and pray to God that one day you will come across a pair, they are RARE, RARE, RARE!!! I found them by sheer luck or destiny or whatever. I wish I had never sold them, but I needed the money desperately and had them to sell. Edited January 28, 2007 by Gunstar
Gunstar #11 Posted January 28, 2007 I have CyberStudio, is Control a different disk/prg? If you are missing Cybercontrol you do not have the entire Cyberstudio package, see my post above for full package details.
tjlazer #12 Posted January 28, 2007 (edited) I found it on the latest TOSEC. As far as the STEREOTEK, I own those and version 1.1 of the driver disk, if anyone needs this disk let me know. Bought it on ebay for like $20 last year Edited January 28, 2007 by tjlazer

Bought it on ebay for like $20 last year That was a FANTASTIC deal considering the rarity. I think I payed about $50, IIRC, when I found mine, and that was a great deal, I sold it for about $125 (including nearly all the software made for them too, except all the Cyberstudio stuff which is worth at least that much alone) Edited February 10, 2007 by Gunstar

Gunstar #15 Posted February 10, 2007 (edited) Cool! Hey What all software works with it? I tried the game 3d Breakout and it rocks!! Anymore games and apps? Here are the ones I know of: Cyberstudio series programs (some cyberstudio apps have live/on-the-fly use and some end-result-viewing) Future design, Architectural design, Human design, Cartoon Design and Video Titling design disks&3D fonts(Cyberstudio library disks that have Stereotek compatible libraries); Spectrum 512 (animation&slideshow) Degas Elite(Stereotek/Dega Elite desk acc. comes with stereotek disk) Genesis 3D molecule modeler Shoot the Moon: 3D alien invaders 3D Break-thru LCS Wander space adventure (originally used blue/red 3D glasses, updated for Stereotek 3D) Maps and Legends: The Cartographer and many PD demos/programs like Tom Hudson's Stereo SteelyBoink and I think Tom Hudson also did a version of his CyberScape movie for use with the glasses. Stereo Stars&Slide show and other slide show/animation demos(I'm sure there more I haven't heard/seen) And I think I remember reading about a version of ST Wars (Star Wars Arcade clone) that was Stereotek compatible, but I never found the version.
