Visiting California in July - Any Exhibits/Museums/Sites for Gaming History

Me and my family will be heading out to California the week of July 4th. While I am out there, I was wondering if there are any sites of interest or exhibits regarding gaming history I should visit while I'm there. I was tempted to call up Best Electronics and ask for a tour, or at least pick up some hardware I need while I'm there .

 

From what it seems, there really isn't anything in CA of note, unless I want to visit a vacated building or warehouse, and the only museum of gaming history is in Texas. But are there any things off the beaten path or not well publicized that I should plan to visit while I'm out there?

 

FYI, I'll be in SF and LA areas during the trip. Thanks in advance!
