Omega-TI #4 Posted April 22, 2018 You know there are a couple of modifications I'd like to see to the CHATTI program down the road.... 1) A dark blue background with white letters, or the ability to toggle through different colors yourself, sort of like TI-Writer. 2) "ONLINE" status as a different color. 3) A round table mode where multiple people could be present in one 'room' at the same time. You can get emails for when it's your turn on the CHESS game for example. I just need to extend this to CHATTI. Basically I have settable flags for notifications, and a system for creating and sending email. I'm considering creating some apps. for the TIPI (similar to Chess/Chatti) but I don't really know how it works (client/server side). Any info. that you want to share/point me to would be appreciated. At this point, just want to get my feet wet. I've been out of the TI for so many years, I have to take it slowly My questions are very basic really. +arcadeshopper #18 Posted April 27, 2018 it's entirely possible, however he hasn't had time to document the procedures.. You all have to realize that this is being made NOW not weeks or months ago. Patience and all will be revealed.. in the meantime. Basically the comms are demonstrated in basic with the Rock Paper Scissors game which is written in basic and allows you to play against another person on another TI with a TIPI it's on myti99.com I successfully compiled it with the XB256C compiler today and that works great with TIPI too Greg RPSC.zip Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Just have to code it, which probably will happen in the future. I need to learn how to detect the F18A being installed and how to do 80 columns. I do have a system with the upgrade and I can see what [email protected] did in telnet. It would also require some retooling of the display code - totally doable, and Im sure theres plenty of memory left. There is a "hard way" section down in the "spoiler" section of that message that has code needed to do a F18A detection that should work everywhere.
