Sinphaltimus #1376 Posted August 26, 2016 I'm going to admit something to the community here. I'm ashamed to admit it, but I'm really not the best gamer... in fact, by most standards I just plain suck at games. I still have fun though. Now for me tonight, I doubled my normal score, so I thought I'd post it here. ** EDIT ** I had to update the photo, I totally blew away my last high score! I was just playing PARSEC and thought I would share my HiScore until I realized I need a lot more practice. I'm sure *EVERYONE* here has passed the fourth wave of enemies by now. Omega-TI #1379 Posted August 26, 2016 I cannot find it at the moment, but someone hacked a version that essentially gives you unlimited ships.
Sinphaltimus #1380 Posted August 26, 2016 (edited) I cannot find it at the moment, but someone hacked a version that essentially gives you unlimited ships. Please, I beg of you, *DO NOT SHARE* that version or link...please. It would totally ruin it for me. Oh wait, nevermind. I'm actually playing with the cart, not emulation or FR99. Sinphaltimus #1381 Posted August 30, 2016 Voice Chat?Do any of you do any voip like teamspeak or google hangouts?Wondering about a Ti voice chat hang out so to speak. Every Saturday morning through late afternoon I hang out on Teamspeak with at least one other developer. We just hang and work on our projects and chat as we go. Would that be something any of you would be interested partaking in? I have to admit, there is a lot of quiet time but just knowing someone is there with ya seems to make it that much more fun.And yes, sometimes it gets chatty, especially with a third or fourth person joining in. And by developer I mean game developers in particular PC platform. While I'm in XB emulation ( at least most recently).
mizapf #1382 Posted August 30, 2016 You really need a cheat for Parsec? (Sorry, could not resist - No cheat shown.)

Sinphaltimus #1384 Posted August 31, 2016 Not without cheating. When I say 4th wave, I mean 4th wave, not 4th level. I barely got past 2nd level yesterday. My biggest issues are my joysticks. I found a decent pair of atari ones I'm using now. So yeah, my original comment means 4th wave of level 1.

mizapf #1387 Posted August 31, 2016 Brutal ending... The problem at the end was that my Joystick did not want to get into the diagonals; I had to back off from the killer satellites, but then I was not able to move up or down. You can see that clearly when the ship seems to wait for the hit. This is the only situation where you urgently need the diagonal directions; in all other phases this is less important.
Sinphaltimus #1388 Posted August 31, 2016 I think I'm going to play in emulation, my joysticks are creaking and cracking in my ham hocks for hands. I feel like I'm going to tear them to pieces. Mainly because they ARE glitchy. Should probably open them up and fix 'em up a bit.
mizapf #1389 Posted August 31, 2016 I play in emulation and with real joysticks.

+OLD CS1 #1392 Posted September 2, 2016 Well, no power since 23:30. All UPSes are depleted except for the one under the bed. Things have calmed down for the time being so now is time for a nap before the next bout. First hurricane in 11 years, longer for my area.

Vorticon #1397 Posted September 16, 2016 Finally completed my PDP-8 replica computer. Powered by a Raspberry Pi board running the Sim-H simulator. I can access it either via the front switches or remotely via SSH on any computer, even my Android phone (Samsung Note 7 which I am still waiting to explode ). Looks great too as a display piece in my library You can find the details on the kit here: http://obsolescence.wixsite.com/obsolescence/pidp-8

Vorticon #1399 Posted September 16, 2016 Yeah I know. My phone is just fine and until T-Mobile has a replacement for me ready I'm holding on to it. This is affecting a very small percentage of the phones, and I also suspect that a significant portion of the so-called explosion events are scams designed to obtain compensation from Samsung. Omega-TI #1400 Posted September 17, 2016 From this online emulated MAME example << HERE >> we can see that the Apple II has a new DOS after more than two decades. That's pretty neat after all these years. The monochrome screen doesn't "do it" for me though.
