+Steve Jones #1 Posted May 1, 2018 These sold better than I expected, I was planning to keep 2 sets for myself but if anyone else wants a set message me first and if it's still available I will sell it. Thanks for the orders guys, these are being printed this week. Also just for my own amusement I am doing Intellivision boxes for the other 2 Sega games that were released only on Atari 2600 and were never planned for Intellivision release, Sub Scan and Thunderground. Let me know if there is any interest in these and if there is I will add them onto an upcoming print order in a couple of weeks. There seems to be a small amount of interest in these so I am going to get Marc to print me a batch, the smallest order his printer will accept is 50, but he is willing to do 17 copies of each of these 3 boxes so 51 altogether. I am keeping a couple of sets for myself so there will only be 15 sets up for sale. I am selling in sets of all 3 only, for $40 (US), plus shipping, which is $3 to Canada, $5 to USA, or $10 rest of the world. Postage will be slightly higher if you buy more than one set, it goes by weight. They will look nicer than the mockups I had printed, on real box cardboard, pre-assembled just like the FFTC Hockey boxes we just did. If you want to order a set PayPal me steve_[email protected] please include your mailing address in the PayPal message please. Thanks, Steve ======================================================================================================== Ok I got my designs printed today at a UPS store, using a huge fancy laser printer on 110lb cardstock, which is about half as thick as the cardboard that game boxes are typically printed on. I'm pretty happy with how they turned out, will still tweak a couple of things like the tiny font at the top of the sides which is too close to the edges. Anyway I just spent a couple of hours assembling some, designing was easy compared to scoring, folding, cutting, assembling, ugh. One thing I don't like is how the ink sort of cracked on the edges when I scored and folded them. And my assembly skills are shite, the edges aren't really lined up perfectly due to my imprecise scoring etc etc. But you get the idea of how they should look. So I'm thinking of getting them printed by Marc's printer in Germany so they will look nicer, and I'm just checking if there is any interest here in buying a set. I designed these using Marc's box template, which we used for FFTC Hockey, they match to the pixel so they should be perfect. Once again these are boxes only, for games that will likely never be released, I have no programming skills whatsoever so boxes are the limit of what I can create.
+cmart604 #2 Posted May 1, 2018 Hmmmm....I wonder of there are any docs/catalogs that by chance refer to part numbers?
Ignorama #3 Posted May 1, 2018 I am sure you will sell this stuff and even I am not interessted: I think the Atari-Reference should be removed. May alternate it to a tribute and put a sketch of an Intellivision controller and "play with disc" (or something like that) in that place. That would be pretty cool and depending on the price this little detail may even get me into buying it. I love little details.
+KylJoy #4 Posted May 2, 2018 Hey, I'd like these! I say duplicate the mistake. I may be convinced otherwise but what else would go in that area?
AJChandler #5 Posted May 2, 2018 Put me down for a set.
+BBWW #6 Posted May 2, 2018 While I would buy a set...I'd much rather see the investment of making boxes put towards game creation with a box! Boxes are great, but I'd rather have a game.
+Steve Jones #7 Posted May 2, 2018 Unfortunately while Im pretty decent in photoshop I cant even begin to program games so this is all I can contribute. If anyone who is programming a game is interested in having me design a box I would be happy to, although there seem to be lots of other people doing so already.

m-crew #10 Posted May 3, 2018 That's kind'a cool. But its t would be more Cool 👍🏻🤟🏻🤙🏻 If these came with the game.
Ignorama #11 Posted May 3, 2018 What about something like this? STAR TREK cropped.jpg I think its good, but I guess it would be even better of you use the same design as the original box did. So no black controller, just white lines which show the outlines of it. I would also copy the angle of the pic, because its probably looking more interessting if its not just the view from the top. I attached a picture to show what angle I am talking about and of course: Its just my opinion and its not ment to disrespect your work or own ideas. mthompson #12 Posted May 3, 2018 This should work. Just reverse it to white for the box.
+Steve Jones #13 Posted May 3, 2018 Thanks Mark will give it a try
wolfy62 #14 Posted May 3, 2018 (edited) I would buy them as long as anything looking like Atari is off the box! Their controllers sucked! This goes back 40 years for me.....thanks,Dale W, Edited May 3, 2018 by wolfy62
+Steve Jones #15 Posted May 4, 2018 this looks better thanks to Mark if anyone has high res scans of the 3 Atari versions of these boxes I could plug them in, right now I'm working with pics I found just googling. I have replaced everything except the screenshots on the back and the front artwork of course.

+Steve Jones #17 Posted May 4, 2018 Ignorama I know you suggested it first, I was thanking Mark for actually giving me the image to use, already in the easy to use format.
+intvsteve #18 Posted May 4, 2018 This should work. Just reverse it to white for the box. INTV controller line art transparent 600.png I'd make it transparent and have a line drawing like the Atari Joystick controller did. EDIT: Note to self... read the rest of the posts before saying things like that.
+Steve Jones #19 Posted May 4, 2018 Ok just figured out the Sega numbering system, the first 3 numbers are the number of the game, Tac Scan was 001, Star Trek was 004, Buck Rogers was 005, Congo Bongo was 006 (002 was Sub Scan and 003 was Thunderground, which as far as I know were only released for 2600 and never planned for Intellivision or any other systems) and the second 2 numbers are the system that version was for, 01 was Atari 2600, 02 was Atari 5200, 03 was Atari 400/800 computers, 04 was Vic 20, 05 was C64, 06 was Intellivision. It all makes sense now

+Steve Jones #21 Posted May 5, 2018 I have realized if I want something done around here it is better to just do it myself instead of waiting for other people to do it. Just like real life
