Sort of related, many years ago I took a photo of what used to be Silica shop in Kent, the shop that was there had no relation obviously and it was sad to see such a vibrant shop just gone, time had moved on...

I remember Silica Shop adverts in the gaming magazines. They were THE Atari suppliers in the UK at the time...I bought my Atari Jaguar from them when it launched. My long suffering wife went crazy when she found out. ☺

Almost daily I have to drive by the location where J.L Compute was... Was one of the local Atari stores in the area.

Silica in Hatherly Road in Sidcup for me was the place to be even though I sold Atari's at Maplin, Silica just had the atmosphere as it was devoted to them while Maplin was first and foremest an electronics supplier..
