Does anyone build custom Raspberry Pi Units (ready to play)?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am looking for someone to build me and configure a custom Raspberry Pi. I am not tech savvy in the least. Can pay via paypal.

Thanks in advance if you are able to help (or can at least point me in the right direction of someone who is),

Michael

There are places where you can download retropie sd-card images complete with game rom files. All you have to do is write one image file to your sd-card and it's ready to play. What systems are you looking for?

There are ebay sellers for this, too.

What you'll miss is he learning process. Without a clue how anything is put together, you won't be able to update or tweak it, let alone fix something if you accidentally misconfigure something with a controller.

It's not difficult to roll your own, but if you really "can't," you'd be better off with a commercial Flashback or Mini console.

There is a guy on here who upgrades Intellivision Flashbacks so you can load games onto the system. You can also turn on a Colecovision option and load games in for it as well. Not sure if you were looking for those systems?

For the budget minded, it is often much cheaper to buy from someone who buys in bulk and mass-produces than to pay for individual parts to build yourself, but you have to do a little research to make sure you are not getting rooked or hornswaggled.

It's important to learn the basics and have some familiarity. Even if something doesn't break, you'll eventually want to tweak something to work this way instead of that way.
