CrazyBoss
Hello. Any one know if there is a C64 Basic compiler (Cross) for Windows. I might want to try to write some C64 games, but want to use Basic or Pascal.
TMR
Any one know if there is a C64 Basic compiler (Cross) for Windows. Basic Boss comes in both native or Windows commandline flavours and is probably the most efficient Commodore BASIC compiler I've seen to date. There's a couple of solid games like Quod Init Exit which could pass for machine code. I might want to try to write some C64 games, but want to use Basic or Pascal. I'd always advocate assembly language for 8-bit systems personally just for speed reasons, but if you have to go for high level languages then consider CC65 since it'll do inline assembly for when you need the extra speed.
CrazyBoss
I found a list of compilers here http://commodore.software/index.php?option=com_jdownloads&view=category&catid=53&Itemid=126 and it had the BOSS PDF manual in English

While not a BASIC compiler, CBM .prg Studio allows you to write Commodore BASIC (and of course assembly language) and then use VICE to test/debug your creations or export for use on a real 64. http://www.ajordison.co.uk/ But again, it does not compile BASIC or make it faster in anyway other than allowing you to use your Windows PC for development.
