Starting out I thought I was really going to enjoy this game and compete for some high scores, but the longer I play it the more I grow to hate it. The collision detection between the player and the monsters is so sloppy that it's not even worth trying to squish them. The game should be call Avoid 'Em. Because if you are even slightly off the hitbox you lose a life. And since trying to squish is, ostensibly, part of the game's core mechanic, it makes the entire game feel very broken to me. This is one of the most disappointing homebrew experiences I've had in a while. I can't wait to never play Squish 'Em again.

@StanJr Yeh I initially had the same general thoughts in relation to the timing and hit box. I ended up trying not to rush it so much, as there is no timer per-say, and found if I stopped at the nearest 'nodule' in front of the oncoming enemy, I would time it to just squish them as they were moving onto the opposing nodule. Instead of just trying to calculate the distant from you to the enemy anywhere along the running line and just squish them anywhere willy nilly. ( I hope that made sense. Even I'm going :?:  )

So the game play ended up being move .. stop .. wait .. time it .. squish .. rinse and repeat. Ended up enjoying getting into a rhythm, in my case away.

I had fun with this game, and the collision detection wasn't bad for me, like Spriggamortis says wait for the enemies in one nodule ( one with escape route ) squish the enemy and repeat, I must add: look for the slower enemies and avoid the tricky one ( In later levels there is a mix of all enemies ) you must be very patient to succeed with this strategy ( I am a very patient person, remember I was able to support more than four hours of playing red sea crossing )
