How does the logic differ from a standard eprom chip of 8K size?

I did not realize Sean Riddle was doing decaps! Pretty cool. You can clearly see the internal address counter in the upper right, and what are probably the 8 data latches above the ROM area. I'm always keeping a look out for a decapped 9918A, so if anyone knows of anyone who has done the 9918A, please let me know.

@Klaus: The GROM has an internal auto incrementing address counter, the data and address bus are multiplexed.
