Just like the title says, I'm looking for one of these little doodads:

Must include the Sega Genesis / Mega Drive Model 2 adapter plate and be in nice condition with all the white lettering intact and the dust cover hinges undamaged, and working properly of course.

If anyone has one they'd like to sell I'm offering $100 USD + postage for it via PayPal, and I will pay the cost for international shipping from Europe or Australia to the United States if needed.

Thanks for taking the time to view my post and just send me a PM if you have a Master System Converter II that you'd be up for selling. :)

Years ago I ordered one from www.ebay.co.uk . It was mint and I sold it some time later to some ass in the USA that complained that the box was not included. And I think he got it from me for half of what you are looking to spend....never forgot that.

In any case, this one looks good and turns out to be $106 if the seller agrees to ship to the USA. Never hurts to ask:

Otherwise, if you are not buying to collect and just want to play SMS games on a Genesis model 2, this is much more affordable not to mention much more compatible/better design:

Or even better with the FM module:

Thank you eightbit! :) I sent a message to the seller asking if they'd be willing to ship across the pond to the United States and am awaiting their reply. I was aware of Stone Age Gamer's products but I just really love the aesthetics of the official Master System Converter II, so it's worth it to me to pay more for something that I'll really enjoy looking at attached to my Genesis Model 2. I will definitely be purchasing a Ultra CD Backup RAM Cart from them at some point though, since they seem a lot more reliable and useful than the official Sega CD RAM Cart and I sure could use one for playing Eye of the Beholder.

So thank you again and fingers crossed that the seller decides they'd be up for shipping to the US. And if not I'm sure another one will come along before too long. They're rare but not ridiculously so, especially since I don't need the box or manual.

Any time I could help. Hopefully the seller accepts. In my experience people in the UK are usually pretty cool about it and do. If not, do not turn your head on those stoneagegamer adapters...especially the one with the FM module. Nothing like that was available when I was collecting the SMS. The only way to experience the FM music when I was collecting was to own a Japanese Mark III console. To get that out of a USA console is just awesome.

Your reference to that eBay listing really paid off! The seller was totally fine with shipping to the US and international shipping only cost £5.99, so I ended up getting it for $117.05 shipped after the currency conversion. Now I'll just need to pick up a couple Master System games to get started with it once a few of my own sales wrap up. I think I'll be picking up copies of Psycho Fox and the Hang-On & Astro Warrior combo cart first, then track down a copy of Phantasy Star next month after I've beaten Psycho Fox. :)
