Right I am back from my little excursion to Eastern Europe and i contacted to the box printer and it seems the machine that is used to for the boxes is in pieces at the moment. icon_surprised.gif I have a back up plan, so I am hoping that there won't be any further delays, but I will keep everyone updated. I can't wait to get these out to everyone :)

Eastern Europe... sounds like fun! I accidentally landed in East Germany once (in the 1980s)... I was taking a KLM 747-100 Series flight from Cairo, Egypt to Skipol, NL with my dad's secretary. I don't know what happened but at some point in the flight, the plane just "dropped" for what seemed like 10-15 seconds. Everyone was screaming, and some of the gas masks randomly deployed (guess at the time they were independent and not all one system). Plane flew normal at that point, but we made an emergency landing in East Germany. We landed at some airport that had no power and no running water. We disembarked from a ladder car from the front of the cabin and had to sit in this abandoned terminal for like 3 hours while they did something with the plane (I guess). They had a bunch of East German bloc soliders watching us and escorting us. Eventually we got back in the air, and landed within 15-20 minutes. Was pretty exciting. Sorry... every time I think of "Eastern Europe" that's what I remember. Never been further East than Germany in Europe. Never had the opportunity to experience the old Byzantine Empire.

Update time - Right I have officially changed box printers. What does this mean for 2.4? Well it means that hopefully the boxes will be done quicker now, as the old printers printer is still kaput! I'm also going to be bold and say you will now get the best Jaguar boxes seen yet! I am hoping that these will be ready by the end of next week. If there is any small delay, it will be worth it I am sure. Everything else is coming along nicely. More updates as things progress.

Update time. OK, so the move to a new printer will add a bit more time than anticipated, add to that my messy (proper) work rota I think I am looking to get the boxes around the middle of August. However the boxes will come ready glued so that will save me lots of time. And by that point all I will have to do is put everything else in and seal the postage box (hopefully) so it should be a very quick turnaround by that point in time. It's a bit disappointing to have this delay, but I am sure it will be worth the wait.

Update time again - So today should have been the day I collected the new boxes and the process of sending out games began. Well I am sorry to say that I did delay the print run. After a thorough look over the proofs, there were a couple of issues I wasn't happy with & as I want them to be the best possible games for everyone, decided another delay was the best option. Also as this is a new venture, best to get everything right from the start to avoid problems down the line. So I am hoping that the boxes will arrive before the bank holiday weekend, but with a new die needing to be made and tested before production, it maybe wishful thinking.

So, with this in mind I will update when the boxes have landed. Everything else is ready to rock and roll, so it should be a fairly speedy process getting everything out to everyone.

I would like to apologise again to everyone for the delay, but i am confident what you end up with will be the best looking jaguar boxes yet seen.

Cheers

I have just been given an update & it looks like I will get the new boxes no later than 31st of the month, so I will do my best to get these shipped out on Saturday 1st September. I will update if anything changes i will update.

No worries. I (for one) greatly appreciate your attention to detail and focus on delivering a first rate product.

Update time - Well I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but we have another delay. I have been informed that the new cutting template hasn't arrived on time at the printers, which means that production has not started yet. I hope to have an update on a likely collection date tomorrow. This is probably why I have stuck to the same guy for years, but once this is sorted, future releases should be plain sailing. I need this to be a short delay as my work schedule for September is horrible. As stated previously I am just waiting for the boxes to ship everything out. Postage labels and boxes are done, so really is just a case of putting the games inside their boxes and going to the post office!

I will update again when I get a date. Thanks for your patience everyone, I am sure it will be worth the wait.
