ftovar #1 Posted June 5, 2003 I know warp 9 made my ST redraw faster but will it make any difference with the Falcon 030?
[ProToS] #2 Posted June 5, 2003 yes it works on F030 witch the Warp9 Falcon Patch but the best way was to use NVDI and not warp9
krupkaj #3 Posted June 5, 2003 I know warp 9 made my ST redraw faster but will it make any difference with the Falcon 030? I do not know Warp 9. Does it work on TT? Is possible to download it from somewhere?
atarian1 #4 Posted June 6, 2003 Warp 9 will barely speed things up on the Falcon. It was never designed for the Falcon screen modes. All the author did was just patch the code to make it work on the Falcon instead of optimizing it to speed up the Falcon screen modes. So there's not much speed up. But the screen saver is neat. Can't get enough of those "flying thrones"!!! As ProTOS said, NVDI is the best route to speed up the Falcon screen redraws.
ftovar #5 Posted June 6, 2003 Thanks for the info. I never knew there was a patch for the Falcon. I also do not recall If I even have NVDI and if I do it may have been just 2.x. I will have to dig around during quarter break. I have to study for finals till next Thursday. Thanks to all who responded.

+Sauron #7 Posted June 6, 2003 I remember Warp 9....one of the most widely used and least glitchy software "accelerators" for the ST. I may be acquiring a Mega ST soon, and wouldn't mind finding a copy of it myself. Good thing I still have most of my old ST disks...
