Is it just my imagination or have these games been showing up a lot on ebay lately.seems like in the last few months at least one of the three has been on ebay every time I log on.does anyone keep track. I did luck out at a yard sale and snaged a rubics cube for a buck not bad for only going to about 200 yard sales

If a lot of rare carts are showing up, the perhaps the bad economy is forcing collectors to part with their treasures.

 

Other possibility: how much would it cost to create a fake Quadrun? A lot less than the ebay price I would think. Maybe even a run of 100 sold slowly through various outlets. There's really no way of knowing.

 

I recently bought a Turbo cart off ebay, the only one i've heard of! It has the box and manual and everything! I don't know why Coleco ever released it though, you cant really control anything and eventually the screen says something about April Fools. I guess that companies released a lot of bad games like this during the crash.

I for one am very happy that all these rare games are going up for bid because now I have a Quadrun, tooth protector, chase the Chuckwagon and a Texas Chainsaw massacre all in the past three months.

That's not a comforting thought, but fortunately it would be a lot of trouble to produce a convincing counterfeit. Judging by my Combat Two cart, the silver color is not easy to reproduce exactly. Additionally, Quadrun, Climber, and SQ are 8K games, which are harder to put together. Sure, someone could use an 8K board from Pixels Past, but they are a totally different color from original boards.

 

Others probably know more about this issue than I.
