Does a Japanese analog of the Atari 2600 exist?

There is also the issue that the Light Gun for the Odyssey uses a Nintendo patent for a Light Gun from the Bowling Alley Duck Hunt Game. The Color-TV Game series of clone consoles could have been part of a deal where Magnavox allowed Nintendo to distribute the Color-TV game system in japan in exchange for Magnavox including the light rifle in it's units in America.

Are you talking about Nintendo's 1987 patent on their target control/sensing scheme?

There is an article about NIntendo's involvement with the Magnavox Light gun here.

For some reason, the Nintendo gun also found it's way in Europe as an accessory for some Interton consoles.

That Cassette Vision is interesting, the games look like a cross between early 2600 games and Odyssey 2 games. None of them look very playable though. The Super Cassette Vision is much more interesting, some of those games look fun.

If you want to know more about the SCV, here are two recent threads were it has been discussed from a gaming perspective as well as a collecting perspective.
