i have lego the force awakens and avengers. when i move down (running from the hulk on the helicarrier for example, my character slows to a crawl and i die. is there a way to fix this. this happens with every lego game i play.

Does it happen on other games, I mean besides lego? It's been forever since I played a Lego game, but I was thinking their isometric 3d games and up/down movement would seem slower than left/right movement.

It could be a low battery too, they last forever, but usually give weird control before crapping out.

There's wired Xbox one controllers? I wasn't aware of that, I'll have to find one as I'm not partial to batteries myself. At least their not built in like ps4 ones are.

I've actually had happen on a couple games. Fallout 4 and just recently Red dead redemption on the Xbox1.

The left thumb stick seems to hesitate when pushed down (and usually left). I was so bad with Fallout, I bought a new controller. Both wireless. No change - but very random.

I've come to think it a software problem or interference.

This is one of the many reasons I have to dislike the XB1.
