Music While Playing Games?

Anybody else turn down the game volume, turn on some great tunes and listen to music while playing?

 

Listening to the Astro v As game tonight playing some NES. But most often its music. Id say more music than game sounds while playing here.

 

Lots of 80s Metal (yeah yeah) and Celtic rock/punk mixed with some small country artists.

 

Do anybody else? What music?

Depends on the game. The quiet stuff, say like Adventure, benefits from music while something loud like Spacemaster X-7 i prefer just the game sounds.

When I play retro stuff, it's usually 80s metal or something chill, depending on my mood

I don't turn down the volume of games. My game room is located off of the living room, which the ps4, x box one and switch is located, so my brother and I will put on a video game you tube channel, let that play in the background and play some retro games.

Occasionally I put on some Journey or similar early 1980's stuff to remind me of the many, many arcades around at the time.

I have.

Honestly though, I like Journey, but not my absolute favorite.

I had this in mind when I wrote that.
