How closely does this play to Choplifter?

Is it fun, or just rare and expensive?

 

The fancy Videopac intrigued me, I only know of it from obscure magazine screenshots.

 

I guess I need to fire up O2EM and go ROM hunting!

Helicopter Rescue Videopac #59 is fun, rare and expensive.

The prototype of this game was labeled MASH but Philips didn't buy the license.

That is amazing for Videopac! How the crap did someone pull that off??

This game use the full capabilities of the Videopac+ mode, which is roughly equivalent to what you could do in BASIC on a CPC 464 computer. It's not compatible with standard O2/Videopac machines.

Hahahaha! This game was so simple I was able to port it over to the TI-99/4 in BASIC, at the age of sixteen. My first port!

 

Of course I misspelled the title screen to read “Helecopter Rescue.” Found it in the TI-99/4 Gamebase 36 years later! How fun!
