Nice. Starflight is an absolute stone cold classic, one of my all time favourites. Sadly the pinciples behind its design were largerly abandoned - well, the 1st Mass Effect at least tried, the latter ones, not so much.

Don't like much these pre alpha pics, think they should keep it 2D. Good thing that the main designer is still at the helm. Filed under "cautiously optimistic"

Awesome, I played the hell outta SF2 and the excellent Genesis port of the original. It had one of the best storylines of the whole era, and the alien races were really well done.

Not so much that Starflight 3 is in the works, but that apparently there is a starflight 2 for me to play, that I previously didn't know existed.

I've only ever played the genesis one

 

Just this past weekend, I booted up NES's P'radikus Conflict very much hoping it would be a lot more like starflight than it was.

This is fantastic news for me.

Not so much that Starflight 3 is in the works, but that apparently there is a starflight 2 for me to play, that I previously didn't know existed.

Just this past weekend, I booted up NES's P'radikus Conflict very much hoping it would be a lot more like starflight than it was.

2 has a really cool storyline, dives into the tragic backstory of the Uhlek. Gameplay is pretty early CGA/EGA pc stuff, with a really shit copy protection scheme. Be prepared for a huge graphical downgrade from the Genesis port too. That said, well worth playing.

Just a tip, when playing Starflight 2 don't pick up any endurium. It's banned and getting caught with them can get very expensive.
