Harry Potter
Hi! I have Lattice C 5.60 for the Atari ST and two empty .ST images on a Win10/64 PC and want to install Lattice C on a configuration with no hard drive. The docs. tell me to name the disks something specific. The .ST images are 880k. How do I rename the disks? For that matter, how do I handle the images from Win10? ParanoidLittleMan
You need Atari emulator for it.

Kylev
Harry, In case you don't know of any emulators, may I suggest either STEem (there is an original and one called STEem SSE) or Hatari. Both are currently being maintained (except for the original STEem) and there is support for them on various forums should you need it. You can also seek help here for any questions you may have about running them.
Harry Potter
I have and like STEem. I remember making out an 880k disk image but don't remember how. I'll see if I can rename the disk image labels soon.
ijor
I have and like STEem. I remember making out an 880k disk image but don't remember how. I'll see if I can rename the disk image labels soon. On Steem open Disk Manager (ST floppy Icon at top right of Steem bar). At the Disk Manager, right clik, New Custom Disk Image. Select two sides, tracks 0 to 79, sectors 1 to 11. Edited July 31, 2018 by ijor

Harry Potter
Uhh...how do I change the label of a disk image?
ParanoidLittleMan
TOS can not do it, so need some Atari disk utility. For instance with DISKIMAG http://atari.8bitchip.info/floimgd.php Little lower. But must you really rename it ? If labels of floppies are different, it should be fine.
ijor
Do you mean to rename the file image? Just use file explorer or your favorite tool. But can also be done from Steem's disk manager: select specific image, right click, rename. Or do you mean to change disk volume label? Harry Potter
I want to change the disk label, as the dos. say that I should set the disk labels to certain things.
