JagMX #2 Posted June 8, 2003 did you make sure that the cd was pushed in tightly? sometimes games will blink on and off for me and its just the cart needs to be moved slightly sometimes or taken out and put back in

All BattleSphere versions were designed to work perfectly with the JagCD installed. I'm suspicious that perhaps you tested the CD with a 2MB game installed and not a 4MB one like BS. Congratulations man! That's great you finally ran that bad boy down! Enjoy, it's definitely one of the best Jag titles! Not sure on your CD problem though. The only thing I can think of is make sure it is seated tightly on the base unit. Have fun! Jason
Hyxtryx #10 Posted June 14, 2003 Glad to see I didn't deprive midwest_cdn of being able to play a copy of Battlesphere. I have the same problem with mine and my JagCD. I get the Jaguar logo and then the screen turns red. I tried numerous times and then just plugged it in directly. I assumed it just wasn't making good contact or something. Is there a forum on here for Battlesphere, or a thread on here with lots of discussion on it?
midwest_cdn #11 Posted June 14, 2003 yeah u sure did i wanted the gold.
Gunstar #12 Posted June 15, 2003 Congrats! It's a great game. I was lucky enough to get a couple copies during it's initial release. I sold one when I needed money and have been waiting to get another copy ever since. I missed a chance at BSG when it came out because I didn't have the cash, so now I'm just bidding on a copy of the classic on E-bay. I'll buy Gold if it ever shows up on E-bay (assuming I win the auction). It is all in the detail of the game, sure there are better Space dogfighting Epics on newer systems since, but Battlesphere still looks and plays good in my opinion. The classic tradition of Star Raiders is intact, even if you only ever play single player with or without a friend riding shotgun. It has the core of an epic without all the heavy story telling. Use your imagination and the bit of background the game gives. The dogfighting (physics, A.I., mechanics) itself is still as good and exciting as the latest games in the genre. The shading and lightsourcing and smooth animation still look good. So BSG must look even better. The screen shots say so...
