Tempest Spinner hack?

Wondering if it's possible to hack an original Tempest spinner to a Xbone One controller?

 

I have a Tempest arcade cabinent that I have Typhoon 2000 in and I use the orginal spinner control with an interface board.

 

Wondering if I can do the same for Tempest 4000!

if it is possible to interface that spinner with a USB output, then yes.

 

there are many converters that allow you to use trackballs, joysticks and spinners with consoles.

 

i use the cronus max pro plus, i think there's on called XIM also.

 

 

if you can't interface it with USB, then you have to figure out the way to convert the signals to the

xbox one analog stick.

The X-Arcade Tankstick with the trackball uses an USB connection. I'll have to do some experimenting!

This might do in a pinch. Not the greatest rating, but it sends all mouse input to one of the analog sticks. Problem is, it works like an analog stick, so you might not get the nimble movement you would from a mouse or a trackball connected to a PC. I've toyed with the idea of getting one so I can play Arkanoid Live properly, but haven't given it serious thought.
