You started it. Reseller, you are speaking to the wrong guy on that. I have purchased multiple copies of high end items (i.e. Air Raid). Why would I want to devalue something that I own?

BTW, you keep proving my point. Good wotk

Now like a child you are playing the "you started it game" If you are advertising you have double copies of other rare games why did you never mention you own this game? I'm sorry but you just ruined yourself. If you really do own a copy and are offering me $9000 USD to get a second copy just to hoard it then it shows you're not paying the full potential or value as apposed to someone who really wants this game which just proves my point that this game is worth much more. You were acting like you didn't own a copy this whole time only to bash me and lower the value for your own benefit to obtain the game and choke the market. You took advantage of your peers on Atari Age and used your status to lower the price of the game which is petty.

Second if you really do own the game which I doubt, the only plausible way would be to buy it from the personal computer museum after Syd Bolton's death. You mentioned 2 other copies are on the way and you own a copy so (3 copies in total) like the three which were donated to the museum. If this is really true, you took advantage of the people who donated to the museum to fill your own pockets. Just goes to show you purchased the game illegally under the table for your own benefit otherwise there would be no reason not to reveal it to the public.

You are either lying you have it and want to lower the value of the game, or you took advantage of Syd Bolton's death and people's donations. Finally the fact that you are saying you want to have multiple copies of games that goes for thousands of dollars just for the heck of it is laughable to everyone. You're obviously trying to hoard and choke the market.

You have shown who you really are. Enough acting like a saint and playing the victim game. You purposely lied to me and the community. You tried to sabotage an offer I already declined (haha).

I find it difficult to accept any authoritativeness from a guy about an Atari 2600 game when he didn't seem to really understand what Stella is from his remark about it. He seems to be Atari rarity educated from a few hours research on the internet. A while ago he inferred Gamma Attack could be a homebrew based on his research and yet says Extra Terrestrials isn't, even though it has a similar providence.

"Gamma attack some say is still debatable because people still believe it's a homebrew as no information was officially released"

"This copy was claimed not working by Syd Bolton on his Atari but ROM does work using a third party program "Stella". (You may not know what I mean, but everyone else here will)

No need to accept authority from me. If you use logic and read the conversation it is clear what is going on here. People are trying to bash the game in hope's of lowering it's value to purchase it. People are really showing their true colors on Atari Age. Offering $9000 privately then acting like as if the game is not worth much on the public chat; to me this is offensive.

Dude, your paranoia is out there like Pluto man.

Calm down & relax.

Your throwing the kitchen sink at this.

And btw, in the pic you posted of your personal rarities, you have 2 NES Zombie Nation carts.

Does that mean your choking the market too?

Anyhow, you misread or misunderstood most of what I wrote.

I’ve been on your side far more then you think.

The complete sets of officially released games for USA/NTSC

game consoles is not an easy subject to cover.

Hence why I’m one of the few who does.

You made an account here 10 days ago. You dont give a rats ass about atari. Your a reseller trying to flip a game you lucked into and you have checked every point on the list of how not to sell something. You spew misinformation that you read yesterday as fact and it's really quite the shit show your putting on now.

beardman - I'm sure you got into this because you love the same things that the people posting here love about retro-gaming. We all love thinking about the magic of a time in the past when gaming was new and crazy things like a special competition run of a game or a guy selling door to door was possible. Think about the positive connections you can make with this group about those things that you love about retro-gaming and push the conversation about rarity and value into your PMs.

Myself and multiple others have tried to give you some advice through the course of this thread. Just step back, take a breath and stick to talking about what you want. Don't talk about your collection or recently deceased members of this community. Stick to the details that you have a rare game and want to sell. It doesn't really matter how many copies there are out there. You have one for sale right now - just make this thread about that and you can recover.

Finally on a last note, I want to expose another of your lies. As soon as you offered me, I got people messaging me "I hope you can make a deal with Wonder007 and accept his offer". Clearly I didn't expose your bid, you already told people otherwise how would people know you are interested?

I don't know the end story but there is obviously manipulations going on.

To the community: I'm sorry if my harsh mood upset anyone, but I know a two face when I see one. I really don't want to offend and continue this childish trend but I hope some of you rethink your idols. Peace out.

Agreed 100%, that's why I stopped messaging on the thread. But when I see multiple people continuing to put out false information for their own benefit or belittling the game, then I got to step in.

People knew he was interested because he was the 1 kind person who would have the means and interest to get you that wad of money you so desperately want.

There is no conspiracy.

If people were sending you pm's it was to help you both. But you have botched that with your greed and ignorance and self promotion.

This is AtariAge.com

THE NUMBER ONE PLACE IN THE ENTIRE USA (and arguably the world) to reach the largest possible target audience of Atari gamers & collectors. So if you truly believe what you say above to be the case, then WHY DON’T YOU SELL IT ON EBAY? Afterall, there’s no secret sabotauge or undermining there. No sir. Money talks and bullshit walks. So if you want to truly know what she’s worth & you want to prove us all wrong, stop wasting time here & put it where it counts.

Ok. But I have two copies because I found one at value village and kept it for memorabilia. This is a different case than a person refusing to admit he has a copy of a one of a kind game (when he apparently does) and offering $9000 for it while continuously bashing the game to lower its value. That's what irritated me most. Also Zombie Nation is not on the same level as this.

For the record, I did not message anybody to manipulate this (no need for me to do that, money is not an issue for me). Two, I do get multiple copies to use as trade bait. I have traded my duplicates for great one of a kind items. Lastly, my offer price is my price point for an item like this (if don't like it, move on like I did). Lastly, my overall goal is to collect but also protect my fellow collectors.

I know you are mad. The good thing is that you have a $15,000 bid on the table. I would take that before the others are offered for sale.

<snip>

I rather give it to someone who truly enjoys this game not a reseller/hoarder like you, stop playing games and playing the victim here.

Now that you are giving it away I'll take it off your hands and enjoy the game for what it is...a game. I am not a reseller, hoarder, or even a collector. I've never sold anything on ebay, swapmeets, yard sales, etc.

I play games...that's what I do

So now that you are looking for someone to give it to, I can PM you my address. I live in California, so I'll even pay shipping since it might be slightly higher than shipping within Canada. But I can also give you an address to a buddy of mine that lives in Canada, so shipping will be less and I'll take possession of it during my next visit to his pad.

I am so very glad to end this situation for you.

No frankly you are mad that you burned yourself. For me money isn't an issue either, otherwise id accept your offer of $9000 or $15,000 but I rejected both. I said from the very beginning I will only sell this if I get an offer above my expectations. Your just mad that I caught you in your own lies. Also your telling me you want to spend $9000 to buy a game and use it as trade bait? Why don't just use the money to purchase the item you want.... another lie.... cool.

Another petty thing is that after you burned down your bridges, you attempted to jeopardize an offer I already declined. How low can someone get?

Sorry but you jeopardized your credibility on Atari Age and anyone that's not bias will see that.

I'm sorry, but you are only making sense to yourself. First Wonder007 is trying to lower the value, then you say he's offering a high value, but its a much lower value compared to what you want. Make up your mind.

This stuff is just like the art world. Just on a smaller pocket-change scale. Both institutions are based around provenance and perceptions. It's about twerking someone else's brain and artificially creating desire. A mind goes a-wandering, sees something, and fixates itself into a gotta-have-it loop. And discussions surrounding the item of interest speed it up. Like pushing a kid on a swing at the right instant. At least it seems that way to me. Because what I see here is a plastic box, with a semiconductor storage mechanism, and a degrading label with "actiplaque". It's fascinating and mysterious to see a dollar value get attached to such things.

If I was into collecting carts I would be completely satisfied with a reproduction version, at least I'd get documentation and something that'd look good on my imaginary cartridge shelf. Meantime I fired it up in Stella and played for a while. Amusing.

If Wonder wanted a second copy (and he could) then it's for trading against something else stunningly unique or ultra rare that somehow he doesn't have. Like if another monogram came up for example. I run it myself for certain items in what I collect, and it's pretty much common sense because a lot of the time, cold hard cash doesn't do it.

I started eating popcorn like 4 pages ago...

I was going to mention this. I think most people that have been involved with the Atari for the past 20-30 years would have at least heard of Stella, if not used it. The project has been around for 22 years, and I have been involved for 15+ years, so it's difficult to be into 2600 stuff and on this site and to never have encountered Stella.

This thread is starting to reek.

@Winder007, dowhatulike. You are a high roller, and like the casino world, the high roller table is closed to us cretans. You guys collect stuff that most of us could never dream of owning. Kudos to you.

@beardman, you are looking more like an ass with every post you make. I'm not even sure if the 15k offer is still in the cards after the newsdrop that Wonder is holding one as trade bate. You have been very disrespectful by revealing private collector's pm bid amounts, so if you ultimately get a lot less for it than 15k, it's your own fault. And you know as well as we do the spending power of 15k usd is higher in Canada.

Go back to your little circle jerk of nes collectors. You truly have no respect for Atari collecting or it's history; you just saw dollar signs when you discovered this item. Might as well hock it on ebay, but you'll get slammed with fees, uf, and a big if, it isn't bud up by trolls...
