DeGaussing Wand

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

Can anyone recomment a cheap(ish) degaussing wand?

I recently picked up a BAS Jamma cab from an arcade in Blackpool (UK) but since moving it to my home the colours fade out cormer to corner and ive been told a degaussing wand will sort out the issue.

Thanks for any advice offered :)

All colours are correct in the top left and fade out towards the middle of the screen, then lose reds in the bottom right.....

Look up what type of monitor it is and see if it has a degaussing button on the chassis or in cab somewhere, you can also try electric drill or if you have a pc crt plug it in, get to degauss option in menu and hold pc crt up to your monitor and hit button a couple times.

good day.

Yes drill supposed to work well, some tape magnets to the bit but might work without magnets, not sure

Link below talks about it, on a side note I would like to be able to post on that forum for my pac man questions but I don't know anyone there to give me the magic approval to post, if someone could help me with that I would be grateful.

I am going to drill my pac man monitor today and will post pics of the difference. Now if I can get the distortion gone I would be happy
