MaDDuck
Does anyone here happen to have either the 3.5 inch disk that came with the 1581 and or 1581 toolkit? I picked up a working drive for a song ($5 at goodwill!) but the only disks that they had were blanks. help?
carlsson
The 1581 demo disk(s) are available here, though of course you need a method to transfer them as well as restore to physical disks: http://zimmers.net/anonftp/pub/cbm/demodisks/drives/index.html
MaDDuck
I'll offer a few Pesos to anyone that will put that on an actual disk for me...
Arnuphis
I can probably do it. I have a 1541/1581 connected to my PC for disk making. If you send me a return postage paid envelope I will make you a disk.

Arnuphis
Yep I nabbed the test/demo and the toolkit D81 images. If you send me a return postage paid card backed envelope big enough for 2 3.5" disks I will do the rest. PM me for my address.
MaDDuck
Yup!! I have a big padded envelope all ready to go, just PM me your address and I'll get it out ASAP!
Arnuphis
PM sent. Once I get your return envelope I will send you the disks. I made them today on my PC/1581. I'll probably give them a test run on the 64 just to make sure all is well.
MaDDuck
Did it show up yet?
Arnuphis
Yes it arrived today but you didn't put enough postage on the envelope and USPS stamped it with '$0.50 owed'. Secondly you just threw in an identical stamp for return and with two disks inside the postage cost will be higher to send it back. So I will toss it in the mail when I get the chance but I cannot guarantee it will show up since the stamp provided is not sufficient postage. Also the envelope supplied was not card backed just a bubble wrap one so again so hopefully they don't try to bend it or the disks will be no good. MaDDuck
Oh no! I have been selling on eBay since the 1990's and have never undershot postage this bad! https://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=darth_pikachu I am so sorry. It did make it here with $3.00 due Once again I am sorry that this got complicated.
Arnuphis
No worries. I am glad the disks made it to you as I was worried that the underpostage may have caused it to get 'lost in the system'. Hopefully you can enjoy the delights of your 1581 now.
