Vic-20 Computer Not Working.

Someone in Canada sent me a box set of the Commadore Vic-20 and as soon as I plug it in I get black screen and a buzzing sound from the tv set I check the TV to see if it was the one that not working so I plug in my C64 with the same Audio/Video jack I used the same from the Vic-20 and yes the C64 works fine but as soon as I plug back the Vic-20 its still the same trouble with a buzz sound from the TV audio and no screen but yet the unit red light power on. I don't know how to check or fix the computer is there anyone can help me? I lost me old Vic-20 back in 2012 but still have some games carts that are just collecting dust.
