JagChris #1 Posted September 6, 2018 (edited) Are their many? I have only found one with a 107kb transfer rate. 😑 Edited September 6, 2018 by JagChris
pixelmischief #2 Posted September 6, 2018 NetUSBee, CosmoEx, TOM/2/+, and JERRY. Not sure about support for anything more than USB mice. Also, the TOM and JERRY devices require that the USB mouse support the PS/2 protocol.
JagChris #3 Posted September 6, 2018 https://joy.sophics.cz/parcp/parcp-usb.html  This one here seems to be a standardish port
vattari #4 Posted September 6, 2018 For USB storage, there is also Alanh’s Unicorn adapter.  http://www.atarikit.co.uk/   Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Atari74user #5 Posted September 6, 2018 (edited) ...PARCP-USB as you say: https://joy.sophics.cz/parcp/parcp-usb.html, this is pretty good! I tend to use both Unicorn and PARCP, as and when. Edited September 6, 2018 by Atari74user
JagChris #6 Posted September 7, 2018 Isn't it rather slow?
quackmore #7 Posted September 7, 2018 I would think that the Unicorn would be much faster than all of the cartridge-based solutions like NetUSBee, isn't it?
ParanoidLittleMan #8 Posted September 7, 2018 I would think that the Unicorn would be much faster than all of the cartridge-based solutions like NetUSBee, isn't it? Yes, in theory it could be faster. But nobody replied here when I asked about Unicorn speed (with PEN drive). It seems that not much people have it.
JagChris #9 Posted September 8, 2018 ...PARCP-USB as you say: https://joy.sophics.cz/parcp/parcp-usb.html, this is pretty good! I tend to use both Unicorn and PARCP, as and when. So which one is faster? And which one could possibly be more easily adapted to something like LibUSB?
Atari74user #10 Posted September 8, 2018 Arguably the Unicorn, for my purposes at least as it essentially allows me to use a USB stick for transferring for >1 file transfers. However the PARCP-USB is easier to set up, the Unicorn is cool, but was tedious to set up, probably because I had / have a GigaFile connected to the thru port. This guy's blog and vlogs are handy and informative: Â https://www.youtube.com/user/jamesfmackenzie/videos?shelf_id=0&sort=dd&view=0 Â In terms of transfer rates, I have not measured, measuring rates, connection speeds, MIDI timing is just not my interest, if it feels fast or I can hear things are in time in terms of MIDI, that's all the measurement I need for my personal uses. Can't vouch for anything LibUSB, can't help with that I am afraid.
JagChris #11 Posted September 8, 2018 Ok thank you for the input. 😀
Atari74user #12 Posted September 8, 2018 (edited) No worries, actually for the Unicorn, see Alan's thread at Atari Forum, some useful info: http://www.atari-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=25276 Edited September 8, 2018 by Atari74user
JagChris #13 Posted September 9, 2018 Unicorn works for everything but the Falcon, correct?
Atari74user #14 Posted September 9, 2018 That's correct, because it plugs into the ACSI port.
rustynutt #15 Posted September 26, 2018 USB just for storage? SCSI CF reader is faster than any USB for the Falcon , network connectivity included if using a SCSI EtherNet device.
JagChris #16 Posted March 27, 2020 Has this one been discussed yet? I don't see it listed here  http://hardware.atari.org/netusbee/netus.htm
