Need help debugging PLATOTerm TIPI routines

Recommended Posts

Yup, I explicitly filter out any double IAC sequences in protocol.c/h

This code is working in the Spectranet version, which uses a similar approach to the TIPI. I'll be circling back around to this, shortly, as I am tidying up the MS-DOS versions. :)

Ok, so I've done another test build, finding an interesting glitch in the Apple IIgs version that exhibited the same symptoms, which I fixed by altering the echo packet test condition slightly. Let's see if this helps? Can somebody with a TIPI test, please? :)

Not knowing how PLATOTERM works. I ran two files using E/A option 5... Nice Big TI logo... TIPI light stays on... other file just returns(press enter to continue)... does this need RS232 or TELNET or IP\protocol? I'm lost.

There is a curious looking red question mark over the file-name "PLATO" that reports "OS Native File". this is the file that loads the big TI logo.

I lowered the ROUTER'S FIREWALL... My TI monitor is only four inches diag. so it's hard to read the text... I did see "connected" go by fast on the bottom of the screen... than the screen cleared and some text appeared at the top of screen but cleared to soon to be read... only a small strange looking character remained at lower right hand corner... the TIPI light blinks slightly on keystrokes.
I am using a standard VDP driven dispay.
