Dungeon II - Solstice

Atari 2600

by David Weavil

The mystical bough of mistletoe that maintains the balance of nature has been stolen. Venture forth to reclaim it and return it to its rightful place amongst the megaliths. Will you be a wizard, faerie, or warrior? Each has strengths and weaknesses. Perhaps you will find a traveling companion in the owl. Beware the wolves, dark faeries, goblins and the mysterious Crow.
Dungeon II - Solstice is the sequel to the popular homebrew game Dungeon by David Weavil for the Atari 2600. Dungeon II features beautiful, original artwork from Dave Dries. The game will include a professionally printed box, label, manual and possibly a poster as well.

The artwork featured in the video is the same used for the printed materials. :)

Sheep It Up!

Atari 2600

by Dr. Ludos

Sheep It Up! is an arcade game where a sheep has to climb up by hanging himself to flying velcro straps.
Press the button to jump! While in air, you can use left/right to move the sheep. Jump on the velcro straps (i.e the flying black bars) to move higher and higher. The concept is simple, but the game rapidly gets quite challenging: how high can you climb without falling down?
Sheep It Up! started jumping up on the Game Boy in 2017. Six months later, the creator of the original Game Boy game, Dr. Ludos, started to remake it for the Atari 2600. So now, you can challenge yourself to make a Sheep climb up in the sky with beautiful colors!
The current high score is 28 - can you beat this score during your time at PRGE?

Defender of the Crown

Atari Jaguar

Jaguar Port by Lawrence Staveley

IT IS A TIME OF LEGENDS. A time for heroes. A time of bitter strife, when great men rise above their peers to perform great deeds. A chapter of history is in the making.
Your liege the king is dead, the throne vacant. Britain enters a season of destruction, a winter of killing that can end only when the last brave Saxon knight lies dead or the castles of the Normans lie in heaps of rubble, emptied of the foul oppressors that have enslaved your people. It is a time when foreign invaders shall learn truths administered by the shining blades of Saxon swords. It is a time when heroes are made, and legends are born.
Defender of the Crown was Cinemaware's first game, making its debut on the Commodore Amiga back in 1986. A strategy computer game designed by Kellyn Beck, it raised the bar for computer graphics in home computer games. Defender of the Crown would be ported to many computer systems and game consoles over time and has now been realized on the Atari Jaguar.

Treasure Island Dizzy

Atari Jaguar

Jaguar Port by Lawrence Staveley

Dizzy was looking forward to his round-the-world cruise. When he told the other Yolkfolk about the good deal he found, they wondered just what lay ahead of him. Dizzy enjoyed the cruise at first. The captain, Long John Silver, was a lovely old bloke with a kindly manner, good at insulting and degrading the fare paying punters. He was well-balanced -- he had a parrot on one shoulder and a chip on the other.
Dizzy thought he would organize a game of cricket on the aft deck. In a fit of blinding stupidity, he used LJ's spare leg collection as makeshift stumps, and when they ere lost overboard he was made to walk the plank! That was how he came to find himself gently poaching on the silent, sun-kissed beach of a seemingly deserted island...
He had to somehow find a way back to the Yolkfolk and lodge his compensation claim with the travel agent...
Dizzy and The Yolkfolk are characters created by the Oliver Twins, and these characters would appear in many games during the 8 and 16-bit eras. Most of their appearances were in multi-screen platform adventure puzzle games, however, they also appeared in some great arcade games as the title characters.
Slowly, over the course of the series, we learn more about this odd little family and help them out of the tricky situations they find themselves in by visiting the many varied locations of their magical world.

Space Game

Atari 2600

by Karl Garrison and Maggie Vogel

While piloting a spacecraft beyond the edge of human-controlled space, you receive word that humanity is under attack. You must seek out the enemy-infected colonies and save the humans by destroying the mutant creatures terrorizing your people. You must do everything in your power to save the human race! Keep your aim true and defeat the Kraal!
The enemies attack in packs and grow more savage as you approach Earth. Between battles, you travel to the next colony. While traveling, you keep mentally sharp as you dodge debris or try to stay within the confines of the wormhole. Each pack of Kraal has a smart bomb escort that explodes when the pack is destroyed. Alien technology in the debris can collide with your spacecraft, causing unpredictable effects. After destroying three waves of Kraal enemies, the Xin overlords send a Mega Mutant, which is much harder to kill and has special abilities.

Balloon Trip

Atari 2600

by Bluswimmer

Your goal in Balloon Trip is to collect as many balloons as possible, all the while avoiding electric sparks that will pop your balloons and cause you to die! And don't get too close to the water, as the fish have an oddly specific diet of people flying across the ocean using balloons. They'll leap out at you if you get too close to the water, so watch out!
Collecting balloons scores 30 points. If you collect enough balloons, you'll trigger a bonus round with tons of balloons to capture!
Sometimes you'll see a bubble floating by. If you capture it you won't score any points, but it does stop the scrolling for a few seconds.
Balloon Trip features three difficulty levels that can be chosen on the title screen using the SELECT switch.

Froggie

Atari 7800

by Matthias Luedtke

While the Atari 7800 had many arcade ports, one notable omission from Atari's lineup was Frogger. Matthias Luedtke sought to remedy that problem, and released his first playable demo of Frogger for the 7800 back in 2005! Since then, the game has evolved into a full-fledged Frogger port, complete with optional POKEY support (via built-in POKEY or through an XM Module) for even better audio!

Your goal in Froggie is to get your frog across all the lanes of traffic, and then safely to the opposite side of a dangerous river! You need to guide your frog to an unoccupied berth at the top of the screen. Once you've done this five times, you'll start on a new level, where greater challenges await!
