Yeah, if you give anybody your name, address, bank and bank code you're just saying, "Hey, zero my account, with relish!"

That is very normal in Germany for people to give out their bank information.

Yeah dude, but in America we're far less trusting than that, and with good reason! I bet account fraud and identity theft aren't as big of a problem in Germany. Then again, you can buy 2600 games in stores here.

With that information you can only move money into your account, you can't withdraw it. Besides, there is no reason for you to give out your address either way because you are the seller.

From what I understand it is a pretty comman practice in Europe to handle transactions this way. He won't be able to take money out of your account. He will only be able to make the deposit.

Payments by direct deposit are common in Australia too. I'd say 85% or more of my auctions are paid for by direct deposit. As a seller I like it because there are no fee's to be paid and there's no need to go to a bank or post office to collect payment.
