Nintendo 64 Classic Edition

Recommended Posts

It just occurred to me that the N64 Mini/Classic already exists (albeit not currently available to purchase):

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IQue_Player and http://www.racketboy.com/retro/nintendo-ique-player-a-beginners-guide

The game selection would need adjustment for the Western market, of course, and probably also the form factor, but the hardware essentially already exists.

With the current price of used first-party N64 games, there's no way this wouldn't be a fantastic value for the dollar.

I have pretty much every major 1st party N64 game and some 3rd party as well.. I have no need for the N64 classic or any of the others, but it would be a value for people who did not have an original N64. (I've had one since 1996).

Is it bad that the games I'd be the most eager to hack in a N64 Classic are mostly the WcW/nWo titles?

Those games and Wrestlemania 2000 were lots of multiplayer fun. I forget the developer on those, but those games were awesome.
