TI-74 vs TI-74 S differences

Besides one having the functions not silk screened next to the keys, my foggy memory is telling me there were some hardware differences with the S model. Anyone remember what those were?

As far as I know, they are identical hardwarewise. The S-model is easier to customize, lacking the print.

I think there was a deal where the S version could add 16k to ram versus the non-s only adding 8k. I can’t remember where I read it.

OK. And you're sure it was RAM? Since the S was supposed to be customized, it frequently had ROM modules in there.
