Other than Asteroids, I really can't think of many other games that I played obsessively than Berzerk. I spent many hours playing this game and to be honest, I still do it on occasion. It's just one of those games that are simply timeless and fun.

Yes_it_is. These days though, I enjoy playing the voice enhanced version of the game.

Agreed. That guy did a great job on that hack. I can't imagine how much work went into it.

One of the best arcade conversions on the 2600. Rock solid.

 

Just a bit of a pity the robots don't fire diagonally but apart from that it's great. Tough too.

I always get killed just because I like to try to shoot the robots in the neck. Mine of a fun mini game for me. I never last very long as they get quite fast early on, and then that happy ball shows up and kicks my duff lol. Can that be killed?

 

Anyhow, got ve and play that mostly, heading the robots say chicken fight like a robot when I miss one and hit the next screen makes me laugh.

One of my subscribers said he played the game for 10 hours straight! Yikes!
