The Electric Yo-Yo and Elk Attack

Like most of you, I think, I had never heard of The Electric Yo-Yo until I found out about Elk Attack on atariprotos.com. After getting the prototype and playing it over and over again, I decided to check out the game it had been a port of. i really enjoyed playing it, too, although it get pretty hard after the first few levels. It's a shame that it wasn't a bigger hit back in the day, but puzzle games are usually no match for side scroller and space shooters at the arcade. Regardless I found it to be a lost classic.

 

As far as Elk Attack goes (I still dig the working title), it wasn't a bad port, although it was obvious that some more work was needed, as i discuss in the video. Still, maybe someone can do a hack of it and make it more like the arcade someday.
