Let's go!! ...How long until Season 9 starts? That's how it always goes for me too. I think I'm pretty good until I see some of the scores that start getting posted towards the end of the week. Honestly though, just participating every week counts for a lot and you really don't have to score very highly in every game to make it into the final brackets at the end of the season. As long as you play and post a score every week you can get there.
