Where is best place for replacement N64 label? (Conker's Bad Fur Day)

Recommended Posts

Hi, does anyone know a good place to get a quality replacement label for Nintendo 64 games? I saw some on eBay from different sellers and they are reasonably priced but I'm not sure what I'm going to get. Any thoughts?

I recently found a Conker's Bad Fur Day on OfferUp for $40, drove too far to get it and when I got there, it wasn't pretty. I should've walked away but I was excited to play it again. The cartridge barely fit into my system due to what looked like someone trying to get into it without the proper tool. The good news is that it works great and I just switched it to a 1080 Snowboarding shell that for some reason I had three of. I don't know if I'd do it all again with everything that will end up going into it but I'm on a N64 kick recently and it's nice to have it again. If I'm honest, I get this strange feeling that I rescued the game and can give it a new life. I know, it's weird.

If you don't have the original label anymore, I would suggest just making your own. Labels off ebay and such places are frequently tools for counterfeiters, and Conker is a very frequently bootlegged game. You probably don't want to support that element.

Making them isn't that bad if you have a more recent years made quality deskjet style printer. If you can find the art, it's more a matter of just getting the right sticker paper which would be a non-glossy matte style label, and then you use the best print quality setting on the printer. That should get it almost perfect depending on what you have to work with considering Nintendo used super cheapo stickers with no protecting laminate layer on it like the NES did. The other option if you don't, just buy from someone online for a few dollars as they'll look basically pretty close to 1:1 anyway and saves you the effort. There's no reason not to make it look as right and nice as possible at this point.
