Opry99er
Yes, mine has an adapter and so it sets close to the body of the cf7+. You should be able to do the same. Interesting. I wasn't aware such an adapter existed. I know Jamie M. eventually started building the CF7s with the more recognizable components (the 90 degree angle) but I had assumed it was a custom job, and required a different layout on the board itself. I'll have to look for an adapter.
RickyDean
You can get this type, as well as others by doing a search on google. As well as on Ebay. This pic came from https://usb.brando.com/dual-cf-to-ide-adapter-90-degree-_p00728c0042d015.html Edited November 12, 2018 by RickyDean
jdgabbard
Yeah, I agree. You should be able to just get a 90* adapter. At that point it is just matching the size characteristics. I'll try to put together a list of dimensions that I would need to design one. But I'll need accurate measurements down to the 0.5mm. Do you have a Micrometer? Opry99er
If I make the modification, I would be happy to send you the device for measurement.
jdgabbard
Thats another option... it looks like the CF adapter has a female end on it. It might be as easy as desoldering it and soldering on a 90* header. Wouldnt be difficult...
jdgabbard
printing! Post pictures when you get it done. I want to see the quality of the print on other peoples machines. Also, what type of machine you printed it on if you dont mind.

jdgabbard
Awesome! How was the clearance for the power switch, DB9, and Power Jack? Were the LEDs sufficiently aligned?
