Vocelli
Happy Halloween! 2 Strange weird games! Ghost Manor: Read the directions.... it is a strange one. Room of Doom: I think a pretty solid game.
Jonesyy
Never played, or even heard of these two games! Looking forward to trying them out when I get home!
Impaler_26
Good choices! It's gonna be fun to play 2 quirky games for the Halloween special. First entry: Room of Doom - 3,
Gorfy
I haven't played these before either. Room of Doom: 3,

Skippy B. Coyote
I've always loved Ghost Manor, though like Cosmic Ark this might not be the best game to play competitively since there is an incredibly cheese ball strategy you can use to rack up 500,000+ points in one particular part of the game. For my first try I just played normally without using the point farming exploit. Ghost Manor (Game 1, B/B Difficulty): 151,751
Atari PAC-MAN Fan
I think Room Of Doom is a pretty solid game, but the controls in game #1 REALLY takes some time to figure out! I spent nearly 3 hours on this game, so I'm obviously sick of it. However, after I spent some time with the the game, I think I finally got a score that I'm satisfied with. (for now) That's enough Atari for one night! Room Of Doom (Game 1, Difficulty B/B): 12,725 I'll try out Ghost Manor tomorrow. It looks pretty interesting. Also: GOD my wrist is sore from that! Lauren Tyler
Room Of Doom: 3,500 (Easy to see why CommaVid never lasted too long.) Ghost Manor: 164,550 (I always liked how you could play as a boy or a girl.)
CobraMJD
Room of Doom, 4350 Reached Room 07 Ghost Manor Score upgraded - 24054 How do I kill Dracula? I used both my crosses with no effect on him.
karokoenig
Let's get Room of Doom out of the way first, since I have no cart. Really interesting concept, but I don't like emulation too much. Ghost Manor I actually have, will play it later. 5,

karokoenig
Ghost Manor: 14,250. Can't figure out how to get rid of Dracula. The cross doesn't seem to do anything, no matter how close I am.
nads
Ghost Manor: 14,250. Can't figure out how to get rid of Dracula. The cross doesn't seem to do anything, no matter how close I am. What you need to do is position yourself directly below Dracula, and underneath the prison where the boy/girl is held captive. Press and hold the fire button, this will push Dracula up, hold the button until Drac swaps places with prisoner. Now get back to where you started in this room and wait til your newly freed prisoner gets there as well

Given the timer only last 4 minutes, going for the highest possible score in that time I feel more challenging than simply beating the game. But I do get where are coming from, it may not be in the spirit of the game or how it was intended to be played
Atari PAC-MAN Fan
Ghost Manor is a pretty ambitious game for the Atari 2600. There's a lot going on in this game. However, it really could have benefited from more polish. Not to mention the point-pressing glitch that Jin pointed out. oyamafamily
Room of Doom Game 1 B/B - COMPLETED - 51,850 / GOOD GAME To achieve this score, I used the technique based on the trick provided by Keilbaca at 2600 OLD HSC Season 8, Week 7 (September 2010). “You have LOTS of time in the earlier levels. You can milk shooting the monster that chases you in the early levels until time runs to about 5 seconds left on the top. You get no bonus points for completing a level based on time, so milk that monster.” Statistics in the video above (with scores and marks at the ENDING of each stage): Room 01: 02:53 - 003250 Room 02: 06:41 - 006900 Room 03: 09:26 - 010150 Room 04: 12:57 - 013900 Room 05: 16:00 - 017200 Room 06: 19:38 - 021050 Room 07: 22:30 - 024450 Room 08: 26:21 - 028250 Room 09: 29:10 - 031600 Room 10: 32:41 - 035250 Room 11: 34:51 - 038150 Room 12: 37:29 - 041350 Room 13: 39:44 - 044200 Room 14: 41:58 - 047100 Room 15: 44:13 - 049500 Room 16: 46:25 - 051850 / GOOD GAME Edited October 28, 2018 by oyamafamily
