Gummy Bear
Ruiner is the lesser of the 2 pinball games in the Jag IMHO. I just didn't get into it as much as Pinball Fantasies.
UHATEIT
Pinball Fantasies was my jam as a kid. I actually played that game the most during my early years with the Jag and played it until I eventually packed the Jag to go to college. Only recently due to emulation did I find out it's also a game available for the SNES. I recommend Pinball Fantasies over Ruiner Pinball.
str0m
Amiga conversion Fantasies was the follow up to Pinball Dreams and the Amiga also had a 3rd one, Pinball Illusions (with multiball and hires mode). All great and I spent WAY too much time on them when younger. I recently found Fantasies was released as a PSP Mini game so been playing that on a Pi, very true to the Amiga original even down to the odd ball glitch. You can rotate the screen 90 degrees as well. Makes me want to rig another Pi up to an old 32" widescreen tv I have laying around and put that on it's side for a vertical extended image if you get what I mean Not tried that Jag version of Fantasies. The SNES version has one major issue which is the machines lower resolution so the tables end up scrolling sideways as well as vertically.
doctorclu
BS, I got an original in around 2013 and finally decided to give it some time. So fired it up and tried various modes. I was waiting a long time for anything to happen. I eventually found a target to shoot at but it took a lot of direct hits for it to blow up. Then more waiting...can't understand the love for it. It was boring, and I'm a sci fi shooter fan. Sorry I know this isn't a BS thread. Just my opinion! All this hate for Battlesphere. Tell you what, try going to a JagFest sometime where you have three or four Jags hooked up. A LOT of fun. And Alone Against the Empires is a nice update to Star Raiders.

You shouldn't need to hook eight consoles together for something to start resembling "fun".
