timdu #8 Posted October 29, 2018 Oscar Thank you for a wonderful game. You are so talented. My record is 1710 so far, but I have only just started playing it. It will be fun to play this over the next few days over the Halloween holiday. PUMPKIN MASTER reminds me of 2 games that I really like: Megamania ( for the Atari 2600) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZyUFe6znwHU and Attack of the Timelord ( for the Odyssey2) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ApAnw6uXHcc Again, thank you for sharing your game! +Lathe26 #16 Posted October 30, 2018 FYI, the game isn't Tutorvision / Tutor Pro compatible (for the 7 or so known to exist).
nanochess #17 Posted October 30, 2018 FYI, the game isn't Tutorvision / Tutor Pro compatible (for the 7 or so known to exist). Amazing! Now I'll need the help of intvnut at least for sake of curiosity.

nanochess #20 Posted October 30, 2018 Are you using those "extra" bits in GRAM (bits 14 and 15)? No. I'm thinking is the boot code that gets stuck in Tutorvision.
nanochess #21 Posted October 30, 2018 LOL! -dZ. When you decided we aren't friends? Missed the memo but still you're my friend at least from my side
DZ-Jay #22 Posted October 30, 2018 When you decided we aren't friends? Missed the memo but still you're my friend at least from my side I was just joking. It looks simple but very cool. I played it until level 4, but forgot to record my high-score. One "small" suggestion I will make for a future enhancement is to see if you can smooth out the sharp turns with a sine wave modulation of the movement. That would make it closer to Galaga than to Centipede.
+Lathe26 #24 Posted October 30, 2018 No. I'm thinking is the boot code that gets stuck in Tutorvision. It's the PAL vs NTSC detection code. He posted a fix a while with modifications to the prologue and epilogue ASM files. They files should be easy to find on AA but I can dig up copies off my HD if need be. Please test this, it should work fine in NTSC, PAL and Tutorvision. pumpkin.rom
