agb #1 Posted October 30, 2018 Do the wired controllers and joysticks on the flashback 8 deluxe work with original Atari 2600 hardware and if so, are they durable? Thank you.

Yes, they work, as do all wired controller releases from the Flashback 3 - 8. The new paddles exclusive to the Flashback 9 don't work and vice-versa, but the wired joysticks do.

Sorry, but what makes the paddles not compatible?

Will the paddles and controllers work with a 2600-darter does anyone know? Thanks. Edited October 31, 2018 by agb

Yes, the 2600-dapter will work with joysticks and paddles. The front page of the website has a nice compatibility+comparison chart.

agb #7 Posted November 10, 2018 Got my flashback 8 deluxe with wired paddles earlier this week. Paddles work great on my old Atari. Was able to play my breakouts, super Breakout, eggomania and kaboom no problem. Not jittery at all.
1500points #8 Posted December 18, 2018 Figured I'd chime in to say that the Atari Flashback 2 controllers are very nice. I've tried the Atari copy joysticks online and they tend to have a brittle ring that cracks during minimal use. I've purchased a number of FB2's just to get the joysticks. Hopefully the later FB models use the same vendor.
