Mr Robot
I've come across a couple of xex files now that I can't get to work in atari800 or Altirra. Heres one. 3DHOMER.ZIP It's supposed to look like this But all I get is this I've tried PAL/NTSC, OSb/OSXL, 48K,64K,128K,320K, BASIC/NOBASIC in both Atari800 and Altirra. The only thing that changes is how fast the lines scroll. At first I just thought it was a corrupt file but I've seen the same thing in more than one xex and I've got replacements from different places and they are all the same. I must be doing something wrong. What have I missed?
Mclaneinc
The dreaded "works here" Seriously it does,, interlaced screen of the homer picture and if you press shift it says 3D homer by Elvis / MAD.. Have you got any other hardware added on like an Ultimate or VBXE... Try it without those and then find the culprit...
_The Doctor__
using real roms instead of Altira roms or vice versa? Edited November 1, 2018 by _The Doctor__
Wrathchild
I'm a bit suspicious that the screen shot looks like those here ? I shouldn't think Altirra is reading a different file.
Mr Robot
Thanks Paul! I found it, there was a bug in my launch script, telling it nobasic wasn't turning basic off. I hadn't noticed before because basic is usually off in the configuration, it was only recently I turned it on by default I knew I had to be doing something wrong! I tried both Altirra and real roms, both work when I do it right. It doesn't matter that I have an H drive or that the printer is enabled either and fast SIO patch can be enabled too. So many possible variations, one silly bug in a bash script Edited November 1, 2018 by Mr Robot
