Kool aid man? Homemade label?

Recommended Posts

I've never seen one with that label before, but it might have been offered directly through Kool Aid.

The PVCs included in this auction is a nice bonus. :D

After firing off the synapses a bit, I was able remember vaguely reading about this label in another thread here a while back, but I just did a search and couldn't find it.

Yes I seem to remember seeing this label show up on eBay before. It might be the same cart, in which case the auction may still be in the sellers history.

Text of the eBay auction in question:

Up for bids today is the classic Kool-aid Man cartridge for the Atari 2600, made by M Network. In the 80s this game was worth quite a few Kool-aid points! It has been tested and is in good working condition. The label, however, has fallen off and I put a sticker in its place (I guess it's better than using the label maker)-- see pic below.

He must have got a few emails about the label. I think he changed the description to add the part that he made it himself with a sticker. That clears up my question now!

It looks like they actually used part of a Kool-Aid packet, pasted the "MAN" text on it, and stuck it on the cart!

Here is the email that the seller sent to me.

The label is, in fact, a sticker I put on there because the label was

missing. I realize the listing is a bit confusing-- if not misleading-- so I

revised it to include this information. Thanks for bringing this to my

attention.

The big question here, since the homemade label destroys its collector value, is: Does anyone actually like PLAYING Kool-Aid Man? :ponder:
