Happy Thanksgiving, C= and Ami aficionados!
The Fresno Commodore User Group has its next meeting from 11 a.m. to 2:00+ p.m., Sunday, November 18 at --

Bobby Salazar's Mexican Restaurant
2839 North Blackstone Ave. (corner of Blackstone and Michigan)
Fresno, California
(559) 227-1686

This month we'll talk about the Dec. 1 Downtown Los Angeles Maker Faire and the new-to-us January 5-6 Retro City Festival in Pomona. Our sister club, the Southern California Commodore & Amiga Network, will be showing off Commodores and Amigas at both events. We'll also talk about the new GEOS Megapatch 3.3, PLATOterm, the 64 Mini incompatibilities, and the Ultimate 64 delays. For your viewing entertainment, we'll watch a few choice minutes from the banquet presentations of the October Amiwest Show.
At the September meeting, we played around with the 3D Construction Kit games, A Chance in Hell and the 3D Kit Game, though we didn't devote enough time to the latter. Well, Steven Flanagan has updated the 3D Kit Game so that the upper corners of the game are more visible (the former SuperCPU version of it had the corners obscured). So, we will try out this new version with the SCPU... but Steven warns us that the game is much harder that A Chance in Hell. :)
On the rest of the software front, we'll have new/updated/compiled programs: VIC-20 – Chinese Patience, Morse, Innuh's Pyramid; C64 – Shadow Switcher, Great Giana Sisters 30th Anniversary, Scuttlebutt-Behind Enema Lines, Knightlore, Tower of Rubble 64, Hibernated 1-This Place Is Death, Limbo Preview; Plus/4 – Neon Nights HFLI, Cross Chase, Zombie Calavera Prologue; Amiga CD32 – various CD32 compilation discs.
If you have anything for Ray Carlsen to repair, give it to me, because I'll soon be traveling up to his house in the Pacific NW.

Truly,
Robert Bernardo

P.S. Food for thought. In our December meeting, we always donate money from our treasury to a charitable cause. For the last several years, it has been to the St. Jude Children's Hospital. However, this year with the disastrous fires in California, we should think about donating to help those affected by the fires.
