Scores so far: mbd30: 198,010 bubufubu 193,020 asponge: 85,130 empsolo: 27,570 roadrunner: 25,760 jblenkle: 13,290 General HSC Season Rules: The season is 15 rounds long. Games will be posted on Sundays and run two weeks through Sunday at 11:59 PM CST. A picture or screenshot is encouraged when posting a score but not required. No emulator save states, slow-mo, rewind, etc. No cheats, e.g. Konami code, Game Genie, etc. Turbo controllers are allowed. No point pressing. Round points are awarded according to the number of participants. Every player earns 1 participation point plus 1 point for every player they outscore. For example, if there are 8 players, the player with the highest score earns 8 points, second 7 points, third 6 points, etc. down to the last player who earns 1 point. mbd30 Posted November 19, 2018 Share Posted November 19, 2018 (edited) What's a "point pressing"? Point pressing is where you do something repeatedly in a game in order to boost your score. For example, Contra keeps spawning more enemies, so you can keep killing them for points. And there's no timer in Contra so you can do it indefinitely. Double Dragon you can point press by repeatedly kicking or punching an enemy without knocking them down. But there is a timer so you can't keep doing it indefinitely. The only way you can point press indefinitely is by resetting your health and the timer by exiting and then re-entering areas. Not sure which aspect is forbidden.
