Gagarin #1 Posted November 20, 2018 Hi. I think I asked some time ago. Most of my contacts are not experienced with Atari hardware. Do you know who would be able to repair ST and Falcon board?
anzac #2 Posted November 20, 2018 (edited) Not knowing where you are, but assuming (this being an American forum) youre in the US, I would direct you here: http://www.best-electronics-ca.com/ordering.htm#repair Update: saw US in the topic now, still the advice stands... SumnerS #4 Posted February 2, 2019 I don't know if this can help you but Console 5 used my 1040STf to make a capacitor kit for sale. You can try emailing them with your particular ST/Falcon and they can make a kit for you. If you can't replace a capacitor yourself, I'm sure with kit in hand and how easy these machines are to disassemble, you might be able to find a PC repair place that could help you. Here is a link to the kit for sale https://console5.com/store/atari-1040-stf-computer-cap-kit-main-pcb.html
Greenious #5 Posted February 3, 2019 (edited) Any decent TV repair shop can probably help you with that, and wizztronic still supports atari. http://www.wizztronics.com/ataricomputers.html With that said, refurbishing and recapping the PSU is probably not a bad idea, but recapping your mobo is likely not needed. This recapping craze really started with commodores really crappy build quality, where recapping is a necessity... but suddenly everyone and their mother got into a recap craze...
