Steve Jones #13 Posted November 23, 2018 To be fair I played the contest version a lot so I had a bit of an advantage.

BBWW #19 Posted November 28, 2018 Is this the stolen ROM being used. If so I would report it to eBay as stolen IP. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Intellivision-game-GYRUSS-Homebrew-game-limited-edition/323571127478?hash=item4b565794b6:g:~10AAOSwhhlb~ROA
artrag #20 Posted November 28, 2018 Yes reporting the copyright issue is a good idea

artrag #22 Posted November 28, 2018 True, IP issues are in the fact that they have derived their code from mine, that they are using the name Gyruss without any authorization and they have copied the box art from other products. Apart from those above, I do not see other issues
mthompson #23 Posted November 28, 2018 Coming very soon to a galaxy near you… Note that YouTube video doesn't capture the graphic animations in Deep Zone adequately – and sometimes not at all. The player's ship and the power pods alternate colors rapidly, and that's lost in the video translation. This game looks (and plays) awesome in person!

The player's ship and the power pods alternate colors rapidly, and that's lost in the video translation. This game looks (and plays) awesome in person! Awesome video! Thanks! Yes actually YouTube videos are at 30 fps while sprite multiplexing in the game is at 60 fps. This implies that YouTube is missing half of the frames with the result of not showing some objects. In some msx emulators there is a frame deinterlace option able to merge adjacent frames in the recorded video. I don't know if something similar is available in jzintv, but blending two adjacent frames before uploading the video in YouTube would solve the problem. [edit] https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/1722171?hl=en It seems that interlaced videos should be deinterlaced before uploading to YouTube Edited November 28, 2018 by artrag
