+9640News
Has anyone wrote a utility that reads a DSK image from a file download that may exist on a hard drive or larger floppy device and writes that file out back to a diskette? Conversely, one that takes a diskette and converts it to a DSK filetype that can be uploaded? I've seen the basis on one Tim wrote for MDOS, but have not figured out why it doesn't work. Tim, if you are reading this, was the program complete? If so, what is the syntax for the command line as I have not figured anything yet that seems to work. atrax27407
TI99Dir does it on a PC just fine. I use PC-Transfer to get it back and forth to my TI. You just need a DSDD disk controller on the TI.d
+9640News
I'm looking for either a TI-99/4A or Geneve program for when I download something from a BBS and want to move something to a floppy so I can get individual files. I use TI99DIR quite a bit, but have a Windows 10 setup without a disk drive. Being able to create/extract/manipulate a DSK image on a TI/Geneve system is something I would like to do. I've got the bits and pieces elsewhere, just not all in one bundle. Tim wrote a Geneve program for DSK creation and I even have the source, but for the life of me, it does not like any syntax I use on the command. I am not 100% sure the program was complete. When Matt completes his disk manager for the TIPI, then I could use TIDIR to extract the files out of a DSK image on a Windows system, drop them into a folder on the TIPI, then copy them onto a floppy. The specific issue that I had was that I received a text file that was a text file listing of multiple source files. I separated them out, converted them to DV80 format, added the TIFILES header, and dropped them on the TIPI on a TI-99/4A. I just have not been able to move them to the Geneve where I would like to do some of the development work. As there are quite a few source files, if I could archive them into one file that could be downloaded, that would be one option. I could download them individually, but that is a bit of a hassle if someone already had something written. Can't say I have seen a TIDIR function that allows multiple files to be added to an archive, only files could be extracted from an archive. +mizapf
Can't say I have seen a TIDIR function that allows multiple files to be added to an archive, only files could be extracted from an archive. TIImageTool: Mark files to be archived, right click, select "Archive" (last entry in the pop-up). This is working inside the image, not with TIFILES.
